Practice: Write Down 3 Things You Are Grateful For Today
Today is the start of a new practice: Gratitude!
This is a practice I've witness working with my wife and son. Every night, they end their prayers buy stating 3 things that happened, during that day, that they are grateful for.
According to a quick google search Gratitude (noun) is defined as; the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.
Quite simply, gratitude is short for counting our blessings.
Today, count 3 blessings you have in your life. If you have an empty notebook, try writing in there. If you already keep a journal, put these at the
top.
This week, we will talk about the science behind gratitude and how it really does make us happier.
Your task for the next 7 days is to write 3 things you are grateful.
They can be small, they can be profound, they are yours. No one needs to see them.
Time to get writing!
