The other day I read an email from someone that was inviting people to a training where they would share their ‘secret’ system for fat loss or something.
At one time or another we’ve all fallen for this sort of thing.
The belief that there is a magic secret that will push us over the top. Wellll…let’s me propose a couple of thoughts to you.
First, when it comes to fitness success…I’m not sure there are any secrets. I mean are their things people can take
and do to drastically excellerate their results.. yes but they are not secrets and barely a short cut.
Second…and this is totally a mistake on my part…but I pretty much tell you how to do what you want to do right here in my emails, social post, and interactions in the gym.
So let's clear up a few things here on what you actually need to be able to enjoy the
type of results you're looking for with your fitness.
The patience and willingness to find the best solution.
Unless you have tracked your progress for 2 years before, we have to go
through a few different scenarios before we find the perfect one for you.
Low carb, high carb. Correct supplements, if any. Water intake. Available foods, ect....
With a great coach you can really start to nail down what works and whats not working in about 3 months t be realistic.
Consistency with whatever protocols you are on for the week whether the seem like they are working or
not.
For example a low carb diet could result in 6lbs gone the first week... but by week 3 your energy levels may be in the basement. Results may plateu...
Now imagine losing nothing for 2-3 weeks but then boom... 2lbs dow per week for the next 2-3 months. A lot of time
that is the case because soo may adaptations have to happen internally before we see them on the outside.
So stick to the plan.
Stay in contact with your coach.
Stay on track for as long as you can. Then trust that you will get back on the horse sooner than later.
Document and take pics! We can assume things are working or not working but seeing is believing.
Have a plan.
Stick to the fundamentals. Sleep, water, protein.
