Sometimes the way we approach fitness success gets too complicated.
Earlier this week I was talking to a couple of potential clients who were interested in starting their fitness
journey's after being off for a long period of time.
They were getting caught up in all the stuff that bogs us down.
"We have to figure out the right, time, program to do, food to eat,
injuries...."
My suggestion?
Start with at least one if both of these task;
Take progress pics, write your food down for 3 days.
Later in the week, I had a client in to train and we discussed where his (already successful) fitness journey should go next to keep progressing and evolving.
Even tho he has made a significant amount progress, the answer was easy;
Buckle down on protein and workout consistency.
Until the basics are nailed, those are the keys areas to focus on.
Look...there are any number of challenges in fitness, so with that in mind here are a couple of tips:
1. Lots of events happen that are not within your control...but you control how you respond and that response is what ultimately will lead to the outcome...good or bad.
Respond wisely.
2. Many things are much simpler than we make them:
Want more muscle? Make protein consumption a priority.
Want less bodyfat? Train more, consumer less carbs.
Want to achieve a goal? What is the first simple step you can take to move toward it...today?
Sure, some things can be complicated...so when you have the opportunity to choose 'simple'...take it.
