Hey hey !
Frequency of Exercise
With the holidays approaching we tend to train a little less. Time gets allocated to shopping, cooking, traveling ect.. Let's not put it totally to the side. Especially if your just getting started.
Weight training must be done regularly for maximum benefit. Muscles lose strength far more rapidly than they gain.
Two training session per week during the first 2-4 weeks are sufficient to increase
muscular strength and endurance, but in future weeks, much better results will be obtained from 3 weekly sessions.
It is very difficult to achieve most fitness goals from only 2 sessions per week. It is nearly impossible to realize meaningful gains by exercising a muscle less than twice weekly. Any growth resulting from a workout will be mostly lost if it is not built upon within a matter of days.
But beware, there's risk
from more frequent sessions like injury, inadequate recovery time and burnout (mentally and physically).
Muscles require recovery time for repair and growth. Allow 48 hours of recovery time for each bodypart.
