I think we all have defaults.
Kinda like the 'default settings' on your phone ...we have a set way to approach things.
For most of the fitness community, the 'default setting' is to be reactive.
They wait for things to happen.
Cancer.
Heart disease.
Family member become sick
No check ups. Nothing has happened yet so I'm ok right?
School started so everyone else started a Fall Challenge...so they did too.
There is nothing terribly wrong with this approach...it's not like it makes them a bad person or anything.
Traditionally, this reactive approach does not create sustainable habits.
A large part of the fit community have their default set at 'Weightloss'.
As long as the scale is going down, all is well.
Doesn't matter if the person is happy, energetic, or if the strategy of weightloss is sustainable.
The most successful trainees focus on habits. Daily habits that are sustainable and create happiness, energy, and fat loss.
If it's for their family...it's all about how they can create good habits... wake up on time, established bed time, dinner time, practice times, cleaning habits, ect.
At work it's about creating a system and habits that produce more of the right leads, higher conversions, more recurring revenue or more personal income.
Those things come from the work you do daily.
