In my opinion...the biggest challenge in training and fitness is not the ones we usually hear.
The gym sucks.
I don't have time.
It's expensive.
I'm not in shape enough to start... (crazy talk)
Now, those are all real considerations (except the last one) and they all matter, but I believe the biggest challenge we face is our own mindset.
If we aren’t adaptable, we lose.
Our bodis and situations are constantly changing and we have to be nimble enough to adapt.
If we’re stuck in a way of thinking that never evolves, we’re setting ourselves up to struggle and ultimately fail.
We have to be problem solvers. (Or hire a problem solver, aka coach)
Now I’m also not saying that our thinking needs to be blindly optimistic. That’s definitely not the answer.
Optimism has it’s place...but it can’t drown out the need to persevere and solve the real problems at hand.
We have to believe that we will overcome our challenges…
So no playing the victim. No passing the buck.
If you want to succeed in overcoming the challenges at hand, you need the mindset that they’re problems to be solved and you’re willing to be adaptable enough and display enough perseverance to solve them.
Let's #GetIt!!
