Change can happen in many ways. With that being said I think there is a right way to make changes in the quest for improvement...and there is wrong way.
Let's start with the wrong way first...and let me share it with an example...
Over 10 years we’ve seen and participated in a variety of different martial arts disciplines. People will start with boxing or karate or wrestling for example.
So they get ok with karate but then they see an awesome boxing match and they go all in on boxing. Only to see an impressive headkick in a MMA match a month later and now they want to do MMA>
This process repeats itself about a dozen times. Learning about some shiny new thing and thinking that would be better than everything we were already doing.
I bet you've seen it too.
You go to the gym or get online and you feel like you need to completely reinvent your training and nutrition if you're going to be on the cutting edge.
Well, if you're a brand new or things are really floundering - maybe that's the case, but...
...if you have any experience and have enjoyed some success - there's a better way.
The better path to improvement is to get clear about who you are and what you want to be known for.
To play to your strengths.
To have 'guardrails' in place.
Basically your rules of engagement.
Then - when you want to make changes or learn something new - it goes through that filter.
Does it fit who you are and what you want to do?
Does it allow your business to play to it's strengths?
Are you staying inside your guardrails?
See - you can always find new things to do or add...
...but the key is finding the right things.
Have confidence in who you are and what you've built. Chances are you are on the right track, you’re just moving down that track very slowly.
However use what you’re doing right as your foundation...then, when you learn new things, accept that they may be cool...but they may not be right...or even just not 'right now' things.
Only plug in what fits and will enhance what you have.
Remember - you're building your Ideal Body and Lifestyle...not just some imitation of someone else's.
