By now, I hope that it’s clear that you don’t have to “eat perfectly” or stay on some freakishly strict eating regimen in order to stay on track.
You can make room for just about any food in your sensible, sustainable eating plan.
Occasionally you will fail. And by “fail,” I
mean an unhealthy action that you didn’t plan on. Sometimes you’ll fall victim to impulses or old habits. We all do it.
You cannot expect your new behaviors to be perfect. Sometimes you will make an unhealthy decision that you’re not proud of.
The important thing to remember here is that you DO NOT have to “start all over” and you haven’t “ruined everything.”
Regardless of what was done in the past, you have brand new decisions
to make every second of every day. So whether you’ve made a single bad snack decision, or you’ve been completely derailed into mindless habits for weeks, the only choice you can make is the one you make right this second!
